Education and training

The education system occupies a central and recognised role for the economic and social development of the community, inasmuch as it is responsible for the formation of the human capital of the new millennium and, therefore, of the cultural level of future citizens. The close relationship between training, work, territorial growth and institutions therefore forms a strategic element in which to pool local development policies and on which to experiment the potential that technological innovation can place at the disposal of knowledge. The education system is also subject to strong needs of renewal, linked to the need to interact with the new generations of “digital natives” and to supply them with training which, in terms of learning/teaching/assessment, is preparatory to introduction in to the working world.

In response to the social challenges linked to the constant renewal of the system for the education, instruction and training of human capital, as well as the strengthening of opportunities for permanent learning also outside the school context, in a substantially diversified scenario of experiences and levels of technological adoption of the resources involved, we intend to sustain actions aimed at the development of:

New and flexible learning/teaching models.
Advanced assessment systems, based on tools for creating and sharing digital contents.
Advanced e-education services.
Models of interaction of the educational, instruction and training structures with the public and private working world.


Optimisation of management of resources, making contents, services and experiences available among the various players involved.
Simplification of socio-educational inclusion in a plural society that makes diversity a lever and which also strengthens the excellence in attention to the weak segments of diversity (such as disabled subjects and those with learning difficulties, foreigners and homebound students) and to their integration into the school system.
Reduction of technological adoption barriers, through the training of subjects involved in the educational process, in school and non-school environments.
Training of and creation of awareness in the human capital with regard to sphere of specific interest for the development of intelligent communities.
Support for the continuity of learning, through processes and tools that place schools in a close relationship with families and the working world.
